Lauren Graham is headed back to The CW - this time in a different role.

According to Deadline, the former GILMORE GIRL's pilot adaptation of her debut novel, SOMEDAY, SOMEDAY, MAYBE, has been picked up by the network and put into development. Ellen DeGeneres is on board to produce the hour-long drama, with Graham taking the lead writing duties. She will also executive produce.

SOMEDAY, SOMEDAY, MAYBE follows a young New Yorker whose Broadway plans for herself haven't yet panned out. According to the publisher, it's a "story about hopes and dreams, being young in a city, and wanting something deeply, madly, desperately. It's about finding love, finding yourself, and perhaps most difficult of all in New York City, finding an acting job."

Graham is an actress best known for her roles on the critically acclaimed series Gilmore Girls and Parenthood. She has performed on Broadway in Guys and Dolls, and has appeared in such films as Bad Santa, Evan Almighty, and Because I Said So. She holds a BA in English from Barnard College and an MFA in acting from Southern Methodist University. She lives in New York and Los Angeles.
