Hit reality series "The Bachelor" continues to be a global phenomenon, with Warner Bros. International Television Production announcing a new version of "The Bachelorette" in India - a territory which has never before produced the show. This brings the total number of territories to license The Bachelor franchise to 26.

The Bachelorette - Mere Khayalon Ki Mallika is being produced by SOL Production in India for Life OK, a Star TV channel, with the 26 episode season set to launch in September.

Andrew Zein, SVP, Creative, Format Development and Sales WBITVP, commented: "The Bachelorette continues to be ratings successes internationally as well as in the U.S. We are delighted that another new territory has now commissioned the series and are certain that the local version in India will become an audience favourite there too".

Speaking on the concept of the show, Ajit Thakur, General Manager, Life OK said: "The Bachelorette India - Mere Khayalon Ki Mallika" brings together Bollywood and Television to tell a magical fairy tale. We are proud to be associated with a famous international format - The Bachelor - that has many successful seasons to its credit in over 25 countries. This show gives us a unique opportunity to partner Mallika, a famed Bollywood celebrity, in her quest to find true love. We are confident that the series will strengthen Life OK's programming and set another benchmark in quality entertainment."

In The Bachelorette, one lucky woman is offered the chance to find true love. The series takes The Bachelorette - and viewers - on the ultimate romantic journey, filled with drama and passion, in which 25 men compete to try and win her heart. Expect flirting, intense competition among the men and heartfelt emotion as the contestants do whatever it takes to impress the eligible bachelorettes.
