Telemundo & Warner Music Latina to Develop New Generation of Superstars

Telemundo Media and Warner Music Latina have announced a partnership through which the two entertainment companies will collaborate on the signing and development of new and up-and-coming Latin musical talent.

The first artist to be signed under the agreement is novela sensation Gabriel Coronel, Telemundo's newest heartthrob, who is best known for his portrayal of Mauricio Blanco on Relaciones Peligrosas. The 25-year-old, who studied at the Vicente Emilio Sojo Conservatory of Music in Venezuela, also recorded the theme song for the popular series that launched his television career.

As part of the partnership, Warner Music Latina will work with Telemundo to sign, market and promote Latin music stars. Warner Music Latina will oversee all musical aspects, and Telemundo will run multi-platform promotional campaigns on its networks, Telemundo and mun2, as well as its local and digital properties.

Gabriel Coronel is one of today's most promising young actors. The Latino heartthrob debuted, with great success, on Hispanic television in the United States with Telemundo's original production, "Relaciones Peligrosas." He will star in Telemundo's newest novela, Marido en Alquiler (Husband For Hire), also starring Juan Soler, Sonya Smith and Maritza Rodríguez.

In Latin America, Coronel starred in many theater productions including Les Miserables, Jesus Christ Super Star, Tommy, Calígula, Animales Feroces, Anastasia y la Princesa Kira and La Navidad de Lucy, among others. Coronel also had a role in the famous musical, Somos Tu y Yo, which was on tour for three years.
