THIS IS US Adds Teen and Young Beth, Carl Lumbly as Her Father

Deadline reports that NBC's This Is Us, which features younger versions of a variety of central characters, adds Randall's wife Beth to the mix.

Rachel Naomi Hilson (Madam Secretary) and Akira Akbar (Grey's Anatomy) will recur as teen and young Beth, respectively. They will join the show on Feb. 19, in Beth-centric episode "Our Little Island Girl." Carl Lumbly (Supergirl) will star as Beth's father.

Phylicia Rashad was already announced to join the show as Carol, Beth's mother. Goran Višnji? will play Vincent, one of Beth's teachers.

The series was Emmy nominated for Outstanding Drama Series for both of its first two seasons.

Milo Ventimiglia, Mandy Moore, Sterling K. Brown, Chrissy Metz, Justin Hartley, Chris Sullivan and Susan Kelechi Watson also star.

This Is Us airs Tuesdays at 9 PM on NBC.
