THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT Wins Premiere Week
THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT won premiere week while posting year-to-year growth, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Sept. 29. THE LATE SHOW averaged 3.02m viewers, up +16% (from 2.59m) compared to premiere week last year. THE LATE SHOW topped "The Tonight Show" by +19% (3.02m vs. 2.54m). Friday's broadcast with guest Jerry Seinfeld, averaged 3.24m, THE LATE SHOW's largest Friday audience since March 10.
Stephen Colbert brings his signature satire and comedy to THE LATE SHOW WITH STEPHEN COLBERT where he talks with an eclectic mix of guests about what is new and relevant in the worlds of politics, entertainment, business, music, technology and more.
Featuring bandleader Jon Batiste with his band Stay Human, the show is broadcast from the historic and newly renovated Ed Sullivan Theater. Stephen Colbert took over as host, executive producer and writer of THE LATE SHOW on Sept. 8, 2015.
