Syfy Greenlights Third SHARKNADO Film!

Ad Age is reporting that Syfy has ordered a third installment of its highly successful SHARKNADO franchise, even before the second film airs this July.
The first film in the series premiered last July 11th to a 0.4 adults 18-49 rating last July11, and quickly became a social media sensation. The network aired a second showing of the film to even higher ratings, delivering second a 0.6 adults 18-49 rating.
Sharknado 3 is scheduled to debut in September 2015.
Sharknado 2: The Second One has been given a premiere date of Wednesday, July 30 at 9/8c. In Sharknado 2: The Second One, a freak weather system turns its deadly fury on New York City, unleashing a Sharknado on the population and its most cherished, iconic sites - and only Fin (Ian Ziering) and April (Tara Reid) can save the Big Apple. Vivica A. Fox, Judd Hirsch and Mark McGrath also star.
