Super Channel Announces Staff Appointments

Super Channel is pleased to announce the following staff appointments within the organization:

Donald WL McDonald (Don), CPA, CGA, previously Executive Director of Finance & Administration, has additionally been appointed Chief Operating Officer, reporting to Charles R. Allard, Chief Executive Officer. In this role, assumed in September of this year, Mr. McDonald will lead the day-to-day operations and strategic direction of the company, while continuing to oversee the company's corporate finance and accounting functions.

Darcy JW Hnatiuk, CA, on loan from CRA Investments Ltd., Super Channel's Limited Partner, was appointed General Manager in June 2016, and assists with advisory support to Don McDonald in fulfilling his responsibilities, while continuing his duties as General Manager of Super Channel's sister entity, Touch Canada Broadcasting Limited Partnership.

Reporting to Don McDonald will be the following individuals:

Melissa Kajpust, currently Head of Creative Development, will continue in this role and see it expanded to also include Director of Programming, International Distributors & Canadian Pre-Sales. In line with Super Channel's new program strategy, Melissa will be acquiring content from international distributors from the USA and around the world, as well as coordinating Canadian development projects to lead into Canadian Pre-Sales.

Troy Wassill, previously Program Manager, is appointed to Director of Programming, Domestic Distributors & Sports. In this role, Troy will work with Canadian domestic distributors to acquire both Canadian and non-Canadian produced movies, series and documentaries, in addition to development content related to a newly created Sports genre entertainment block.

Katie Lee joins the company in the newly created position of Director, Consumer Marketing. In this role her primary responsibilities will be to direct co-operative marketing efforts with BDUs and oversee direct-to-consumer eMarketing initiatives and subscriber engagement, including digital and social media. Katie comes to Super Channel from Gateway Casinos and Entertainment Ltd, where she was Marketing Manager.

Dan Rudolph, previously Director, Program Services & On Demand, sees scheduling added to his responsibilities in his newly expanded role as Director, Program Services & Content Scheduling.

Kimberley Ball, Publicity Manager, sees her role expanded to Director, Media Relations & Sponsorship.

Also reporting to Don McDonald in their current roles are Michael Burgess, Creative Director and Grant Campbell, Director, Affiliate Sales & Marketing.

All individuals are located in the company's head office in Edmonton, with the exception of Melissa Kajpust and Kimberley Ball, who are located in Toronto.
