Stephen Colbert Sets Final Talent for THE LATE SHOW: David Byrne, Steven Spielberg, & More

Next week, The Late Show is coming to an end. Thursday, May 21, will mark the final episode of the Stephen Colbert-hosted late-night talk show, and the official talent lineup has been revealed for the episodes from Monday through Thursday.

Colbert's last week will kick off with "The Worst of THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT". Presumably, the Monday episode will look back on notable moments from the show's eleven seasons, though the official release specifies that the episode is "not a clip show."

Tuesday will see appearances from fellow talk show host, The Daily Show's Jon Stewart, as well as director Steven Spielberg, whose latest film, Disclosure Day, hits theaters in June. David Byrne, Tony Award-winning creator of Broadway's American Utopia and Here Lies Love, will also visit the show for a special performance alongside Colbert.

On Wednesday, Colbert himself will take the famous "Colbert Questionert," in an episode featuring other special guests and a performance by Bruce Springsteen. Potential guests for the series finale on Thursday have yet to be announced.

Tune in to watch the final week of shows Monday through Thursday at 11:35 PM-12:37 AM, ET/PT on CBS. It is also available to stream on Paramount+, live and on-demand for Paramount+ Premium plan subscribers, or on-demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs.

Throughout the years, the late-night show has showcased numerous Broadway talents through interviews and performances. Most recently, Annaleigh Ashford, Christopher Jackson, Bernadette Peters, Ben Platt and Patrick Wilson gathered to celebrate Stephen Sondheim with a special performance of "Putting It Together" from "Sunday in the Park with George." Watch it here.

Stephen Colbert has hosted The Late Show for eleven seasons. He took over from David Letterman in 2015, who had hosted the show beginning in 1993. The current late-night TV lineup includes The Tonight Show on NBC, Late Night with Seth Meyers on NBC, and Jimmy Kimmel Live! on ABC.
