The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences today announced the nominations for the 68th Annual Primetime Emmy(R) Awards and recognized SPIKE with an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Structured Reality Program.

"Lip Sync Battle is the highest rated and most-watched original series in Spike's history and we couldn't be happier that the Academy has recognized it with this nomination," said Kevin Kay, President, Spike. "Behind the hard work, creativity, and passion of the SPIKE staff and our partners Casey Patterson, Jay Peterson, John Krasinski, Stephen Merchant, Eight Million Plus Productions, and amazing talent, LL Cool J and Chrissy Teigen, we have developed a global franchise that is a hit on all platforms."

"Lip Sync Battle has been a pop culture joyride from top to bottom. We have equivalent of the Comedy Justice League behind the scenes of this show in our partners Jimmy Fallon, John Krasinski, Stephen Merchant and our Director Beth McCarthy Miller. My producing partner Jay Peterson and I thank our stars for this group of people every day and for our brilliant and irresistible hosting team of LL Cool J and Chrissy Teigen," says Casey Patterson, Executive Producer of "Lip Sync Battle." "We are all humbled by this nomination and are so thrilled to celebrate this honor today with our SPIKE family."

Based on the pop culture phenomenon of lip sync battling, the SPIKE original series features celebrities going head to head - lip-syncing the song of their choice - battling for the coolest bragging rights on the planet. The series is a ratings and multiplatform superstar for SPIKE and is the most-watched original series in network history.

"Lip Sync Battle" is executive produced by Casey Patterson, Jay Peterson of Matador Content, John Krasinski, Stephen Merchant, and Eight Million Plus Productions.

"Lip Sync Battle" is hosted by entertainment icon and two-time GRAMMY Award-winner LL COOL J and television personality, author, and model, Chrissy Teigen.
