Second Britney Spears Tribute Set for Next Season of GLEE

As first reported on EWOnline. Fox's GLEE will present a second Britney Spears tribute in this fall's upcoming season. The special will air as the second episode of the new season and will feature  eight of Spears' songs. Currently, there are no plans for the pop singer to appear on the show as she did in the original season 2 tribute.

The network will use the tribute special to promote Spears' new position as judge on THE X FACTOR season 2. Both shows will air Thursday nights on the new FOX line up. The original Britney tribute remains one of Glee’s highest-rated episodes to date.

On todays Live! With Kelly, GLEE's Chris Colfer revealed that the newly announced guest-star Sarah Jessica Parker would portray Kurt’s mentor on the upcoming season. EW has learned fellow GLEE guest star Kate Hudson will play a mentor to Rachel Berry (Lea Michele). Hudson will both sing and dance on the episode. The actress performed in her role of the movie version of the Broadway hit 'Nine'.
