After breaking ratings and audience records in 2013, DIY Network is off to a strong start in 2014 with the breakout hit Rev Run's Renovation. The series finished its first season ranking as the third most-watched program on the network this year to date among P18-49 and W18-49. More than 4.4 million viewers tuned in to watchJoseph Simmons (a.k.a. Rev Run from the iconic rap group Run DMC), his wife Justine and a team of builders completely renovate their 9,000 square foot New Jersey home. The 10-episode arc aired back-to-back on Saturdays at 10 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. ET/PT from January 4 through February 1 -- achieving triple digit growth versus all benchmarks, including a 107% increase among P25-54 impressions and a 215% increase among P18-49 impressions.

Rev Run's Renovation attracted the fourth largest upscale female audience on DIY Network this year. In addition, Nielsen Social Guide reported that the series was the #1 most-tweeted DIY Network prime program, generating 9,345 unique tweets about the series.

"Anyone who has ever endured the challenges of a renovation can relate to Rev and Justine's debates, disagreements and compromises," said Steven Lerner, senior Vice president, programming and production. "Rev Run's Renovation appealed to viewers because it offered an entertaining look at how a home renovation impacted a real family's life."

The series is produced by Departure Films for DIY Network with Rev Run and Michael Lehman as executive producers.
