Rookie Sonny Milano leads the team with five goals through eight games, while former Chicago Blackhawk Artemi Panarin, who was traded to the Blue Jackets in the offseason, leads the team with nine points.

The Sabres enter the week following a 5-4 come-from-behind win in overtime against the Boston Bruins on Saturday. Buffalo trailed 3-0 early in the second period, but Evander Kane netted the tying goal late in the third period, and Ryan O'Reilly potted the game-winner in overtime. Through nine games, three Sabres have accounted for 11 points (Eichel, Kane and Jason Pominville).

Detroit is winless in its last four contests after jumpstarting the season with wins in four of its first five games.
