Audiences can relive all the heat and passion in Miramax's dance film, Strictly Ballroom, premiering on Blu-ray Disc this April from Lionsgate Home Entertainment.

From acclaimed director Baz Luhrmann (upcoming The Great Gatsby, Moulin Rouge!) comes the tale of a maverick dancer who chooses to risk it all by incorporating a new dance partner into a very unusual routine. Nominated for the 1994 Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture (Comedy/Musical), Strictly Ballroom features a talented indie cast including Paul Mercurio (Exit To Eden), Tara Morice (TV's "Dance Academy") and Bill Hunter (Finding Nemo). The Strictly Ballroom Blu-ray Disc is loaded with bonus materials including two featurettes, a design gallery with narration, a deleted scene and an audio commentary with the filmmakers. The Blu-ray Disc will be available on April 30th for the suggested retail price of $14.99.

From Baz Luhrmann - the director of The Great Gatsby and Moulin Rouge! - comes the hilariously funny romantic comedy that will leave you singing, laughing and cheering for more. Experience the magical story of a championship ballroom dancer who's breaking all the rules. A hit with fans and critics all across the globe, Strictly Ballroom will hold you tight and dance straight into your heart.
