Rutger Hauer Joins TRUE BLOOD for Show's 6th Season

As TV LINE reported earlier this evening, Rutger Hauer, of BLADE RUNNER fame, has landed himself a role on the sixth season HBO's smash-hit, TRUE BLOOD.

Hauer has previously appeared on television in ALIASa nd SMALLVILLE, and has dozens of film credits to his name. Hauer will take the role of Macklyn, a character with longtime connection to the Stackhouses.

TRUE BLOOD was created by Alan Ball; based on the Sookie Stackhouse novels by Charlaine Harris; executive producers, Alan Ball and Gregg Fienberg; co-executive producers, Brian Buckner, Alexander Woo, Raelle Tucker, Mark Hudis and Angela Robinson; co-producers, Christina Jokanovich, Marlis Pujol and David Auge.
