Fans who are hoping to see their favorite snarky superhero in his fourth solo film are going to be disappointed.

Robert Downey Jr. recently revealed to Variety that there will be no more installments of IRON MAN. "There isn't one in the pipe," said the actor. "No, there's no plan for a fourth 'IRON MAN.'" Though he has signed on for two more Avengers sequels, set to be released 2015 and 2018, he does not seem to be sold on another solo movie any time soon.

However, he has not said whether or not he would be upset if they re-cast the role. "I like that the idea is that it would be up to me, like I'm casting director for Marvel," he said.

Downey Jr. is currently starring alongside screen legend Robert Duvall in The Judge, set for an October 10, 2014 release. Downey Jr. also recently wrapped the filming of The Avengers: Age of Ultron in the UK, set to premiere May 1, 2015.

In The Judge, big city lawyer Hank Palmer (Downey Jr.) returns to his childhood home where his father, the town's judge (Duvall), is suspected of murder. Hank sets out to discover the truth and, along the way, reconnects with his estranged family.
