Rachel Weisz in Talks for 'BLACK WIDOW' Standalone Movie

Variety reports that Rachel Weisz may join the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She is in talks to join Scarlett Johansson in Marvel's "Black Widow."

David Harbour and Florence Pugh are also joining the team, with Cate Shortland directing and Jac Schaeffer writing the script.

It's unclear whether "Black Widow" will be an origin tale or set after "Avengers: Endgame."

Weisz was nominated for an Oscar for her work in "The Favourite."
