R&B Historian, Philanthropist Tyrone DuBose has been honored with the UView Media Honor Award by the UView Media Group. The award recognizes individuals who have contributed and dedicated part of their dream to their fields in music and entertainment.
The 5th annual UView Media awards took place on July 7th and was held at the historic Regency West Theatre in Leimert Park, CA. Sandra Williams, co-founder of the UView Media Group, said, "The outpour of love was overwhelming! Tyrone rendered a speech that touched our hearts as he encouraged us to follow our dreams." The night was hosted by James Janisse, The Gentleman of Jazz and was filled with performances by Larney "Dapper" Johnson III, The Kali Dolls, Sandra Renee, Franny McCartney, Elam, Vel Omarr, SHINE Muwasi Women's African Drum Circle, Ron Parker and the Central Avenue Dance Ensemble, and the Matilda Haywood and Company band. The Honor award was presented to Tyrone, by legendary actor, Ernest L. Thomas and Hip Hop Legend, Alonzo Williams. "This is truly a blessing to me," states Tyrone DuBose, "most of all, I hope that what I've done and become helps others be inspired to be their best as well."Videos
