RATINGS: THIS IS US Is Number One Scripted Network Show for Week Of 3/25-31 In 18-49

NBC has tied for #2 among the Big 4 networks in primetime ratings for the week of March 25-31 in adults 18-49, finishing behind only CBS, which was boosted by three nights of NCAA BASKETBALL Tournament coverage, according to "live plus same day" viewership figures from Nielsen Media Research.

Tuesday's "This Is Us" is the week's top-rated Big 4 scripted telecast in adults 18-49, with a 1.7 rating, and is #3 on those networks counting all programs. Excluding sports, Monday's "Voice" tied for #3 and "Ellen's Game of Games," "Chicago Med" and "Chicago Fire" tied for #6.

In addition to tying for #2 for the week in adults 18-49, NBC was #2 outright in adults 25-54 and #2 or tied for #2 in men 18-49, men 25-54 and women 25-54.

Season to date, NBC ranks #1 or tied for #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in adults 18-49, adults 25-54, adults 18-34 and all key adult-female demographics. In total viewers, excluding sports, NBC is running within 1.433 million persons of #1 CBS, NBC's closest position to #1 in total viewers at this point in the season, excluding sports, in 16 years, since trailing by 768,000 persons at this time in 2002-03.

Weekly ratings are "live plus same day" figures from Nielsen Media Research unless otherwise noted. Season-to-date ratings are averages of "live plus seven day" data except for the two most recent weeks, which are "live plus same day."

NBC highlights for the week of March 25-31:

Monday

NBC won Monday night among the Big 4 in adults 18-49, adults 25-54, total viewers and every other key measure, taking six of six half-hours among those networks in both adults 18-49 and total viewers.

"The Voice" (1.6 rating in 18-49, 9.0 million viewers overall from 8-10 p.m. ET) ranked as the night's #1 show on the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49, adults 25-54, total viewers and all other key categories. "Voice" won the time period by a +33% margin over "American Idol" in 18-49 (1.6 vs. 1.2) and by +40% or more than +2.5 million persons in total viewers (9.0 million vs. 6.5 million).

"Live Plus 35 Day Plus Digital" Ratings: Monday's "The Voice" has grown by +56% in 18-49 rating going from L+SD to L+35+Digital (from a 1.79 to a 2.79).

"The Enemy Within" (0.8 rating in 18-49, 5.1 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) won the hour among ABC, CBS and NBC versus Week 2 of ABC's "The Fix" and a CBS NEWS SPECIAL in adults 18-49, adults 25-54, total viewers and all other key categories (including a tie in women 18-34). "Enemy" delivered a +33% margin of victory among those nets in 18-49 (0.8 vs. 0.6 for "The Fix") and +1.2 million persons or +32% in total viewers (5.1 million vs. 3.9 million for "The Fix"). Week to week, "Enemy" maintained 100% of its 18-49 rating (0.8 vs. 0.8) and increased by +18% in total viewers (5.1 million vs. 4.3 million) to generate a three-week high in total viewers (best since March 4, 5.3 million). L+3: "Enemy Within" grew by +50% going from L+SD to L+3 Nielsens (from a 0.8 to 1.2) and +2.1 million viewers overall (5.1 million to 7.2 million) going from L+SD to L+3.

Tuesday

NBC won the night in adults 18-49 and most other key demographics.

"Ellen's Game of Games" (1.2 rating in 18-49, 5.4 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) tied as the #2 show of the night on the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49, behind only "This Is Us," while tying for #1 in the timeslot among the Big 4 in adults 18-49 with "NCIS." From half-hour to half-hour, "Games" grew significantly in every key measure, including a gain of +30% in adults 18-49 (1.0 to 1.3).

"This Is Us" (1.7 rating in 18-49, 7.6 million viewers overall from 9-10:01 p.m. ET) ranked as the #1 show of the night on the Big 4 in adults 18-49and most other key demographics. "TIU" won the timeslot among the Big 4 networks in every key demo, delivering an +89% margin of victory in adults 18-49 (1.7 vs. 0.9 for CBS' #2 "FBI"). Week to week, "TIU" retained 100% in 18-49 (1.7 vs. 1.7) and 99.9% in total viewers (7.631 million vs. 7.637 million). L+7: "This Is Us" is increasing by +86% in 18-49 rating (from a 2.07 to a 3.86) and +5.5 million viewers overall (8.4 million to 13.9 million) going from L+SD to L+7. The gain of +1.79 rating points in 18-49 is the #1 strongest average L+7 lift on television this season and the increase of +5.506 million viewers is television's #3 biggest L+7 gain. L+35+Digital: "This Is Us" has grown by +241% in 18-49 rating going from L+SD to L+35+Digital (from a 2.07 to a 7.06).

"The Village" (0.7 rating in 18-49, 4.0 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) tied for #1 in the timeslot among the ABC, CBS and NBC dramas in adults 18-49 and adults 18-34 and ranked #1 outright among those dramas in women 18-49. In its second week, "Village" continued to outpace the two other Big 4 series that debuted last week in 18-49 and total viewers, topping Monday's "The Fix" (0.6 with its second episode on March 25 in 18-49, 3.9 million viewers overall) and Tuesday's "Mental Samurai" (0.6 with its second telecast on March 26 in 18-49, 2,0 million viewers). This week's "Village" rated within 0.1 of a point of last week's series premiere in 18-49 (0.7 vs. 0.8) despite the addition this week or original competition from CBS' "NCIS: New Orleans." L+3: The prior week's "The Village" grew by +29% in 18-49 going from L+SD Nielsens to L+3 (0.7 to 0.9) and +1.8 million persons in total viewers (4.0 million to 5.8 million).

Wednesday

NBC won the night in adults 18-49 and total viewers with "Chicago Fire" and "Chicago Med" scoring as the #1-2 shows of the night in total viewers and tying for #2 in 18-49. NBC's Wednesday schedule of "Chicago" dramas has ranked as the #1 regular lineup in total viewers on 16 of the 17 Wednesdays it's aired so far this season.

"Chicago Med" (1.2 rating in 18-49, 8.1 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) ranked as the #2 most-watched show of the night on the Big 4 networks, behind only "Chicago Fire," and tied as the #2 show of the night in 18-49 with "Chicago Fire," behind only "Survivor." "Med" won the timeslot in total viewers over such competition as "Survivor" and "Empire." L+35+Digital: "Med" is growing by +115% in 18-49 rating going from L+SD to L+35+Digital (from a 1.25 to a 2.69).

"Chicago Fire" (1.2 rating in 18-49, 8.3 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET) was the #1 show of the night on the Big 4 in total viewers and tied as the #2 show of the night in 18-49 with "Chicago Med," behind only "Survivor." With its first original episode in four weeks, won the timeslot in adults 18-49 and total viewers, retaining 100% versus the show's previous first-run telecast of four weeks ago in 18-49 (1.2 vs. 1.2 on Feb. 27) and is up in total viewers (8.275 million vs. 8.267 million). L+35+Digital: "Fire" is increasing by +133% in 18-49 rating going from L+SD to L+35+Digital (from a 1.25 to a 2.91).

"Chicago P.D." (1.1 rating in 18-49, 7.0 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) won the timeslot among the ABC, CBS and NBC dramas in adults 18-49, adults 25-54, total viewers and every other key measure, matching the combined rating of the ABC-CBS drama competition (1.1 vs. a combined 1.1 for "SEAL Team" and "Whiskey Cavalier"), while topping the combined audience of the ABC-CBS drama competition (7.0 million persons vs. a combined 6.9 million). With its first original telecast in four weeks, "P.D." maintained 100% of its prior original in 18-49 (1.1 vs. 1.1 on Feb. 27) and 98% in total viewers (7.0 million vs. 7.2 million). L+35+Digital: "P.D." has grown by +157% in 18-49 rating going from L+SD to L+35+Digital (from a 1.14 to a 2.93).

Thursday

"Superstore" (0.8 rating in 18-49, 3.4 million viewers overall from 8-8:30 p.m. ET) rated within 0.1 of the prior week in 18-49 (0.8 vs. 0.9, which on March 21 equaled the show's top 18-49 rating since March 22, 2018). L+35+Digital: "Superstore" generates +44% of its L+35+digital 18-49 rating from nonlinear sources, the #2 biggest percentage on the NBC schedule, behind only "Brooklyn Nine-Nine."

"A.P. Bio" (0.5 rating in 18-49, 2.3 million viewers overall from 8:30-9 p.m. ET) scores a new season high in total viewers, with the show's most-watched episode since March 22, 2018 (2.8 million), topping its previous nine episodes. "A.P. Bio" has increased its overall audience with all three telecasts since its season premiere on March 7 (from 1.9 million on March 7 to 2.0 million on March 14 to 2.2 million on March 21 to 2.3 million on March 28). L+7+Digital: "A.P. Bio" generates +38% of its L+7+digital 18-49 rating from nonlinear sources, the #2 biggest percentage on the NBC schedule, behind only "Brooklyn Nine-Nine."

"Will & Grace" (0.7 rating in 18-49, 3.2 million viewers overall from 9-9:30 p.m. ET) scored the show's top total-viewer result since Nov. 1, 2018 (3.5 million), and equaled its highest 18-49 rating since Feb. 7 (0.8). Week to week, "W&G" retained 100% in 18-49 (0.7 vs. 0.7 in the 9:30 half-hour) and increased by +10% in total viewers (3.247 million vs. 2.963 million). L+35+Digital: "Will & Grace" has increased by +224% in the 18-49 demo going from L+SD to L+35+Digital (from a 0.75 to a 2.43).

The premiere of "Abby's" (0.5 rating in 18-49, 2.6 million viewers overall from 9:30-10 p.m. ET) finished within 0.2 of its adult 18-49 lead-in from "Will & Grace" and within 0.1 in all key adult-male demos while debuting versus high-rated college basketball coverage. "Abby's" retained 92% of NBC's total-viewer average in the timeslot this season prior to "Abby's" (2.597 million vs. 2.817 million).

An encore telecast of "Law & Order: SVU" averaged a 0.5 rating in 18-49 and 3.0 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET.

Friday

A special 8 p.m. telecast of "The Blacklist" (0.6 rating in 18-49, 4.3 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) scored as the #1 most-watched non-sports show of the night in total viewers and tied for #2 in 18-49, while matching the show's season high for a Friday telecast in adults 18-49. The 8 p.m. "Blacklist" equaled NBC's highest 18-49 rating in the timeslot since Nov. 23, 2018 (0.8 with holiday specials).

The regular 9 p.m. episode of "The Blacklist" averaged a 0.5 rating in 18-49 and 4.0 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET. L+35+Digital: "Blacklist" is increasing by +198% in 18-49 rating going from L+SD to L+35+Digital (from a 0.56 to a 1.67).

"Dateline NBC" (0.4 rating in 18-49, 0.7 in adults 25-54, 3.2 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET): grew from its first half-hour to its second by +17% in 25-54 (0.6 to 0.7) and +11% in total viewers (3.0 million to 3.4 million).

Sunday

An encore telecast of "Ellen's Game of Games" (0.3 rating in 18-49, 1.7 million viewers overall from 7-8 p.m. ET) increased half-hour to half-hour in every key ratings category, including a gain of +75% in the women 25-54 demo (0.4 to 0.7).

"World of Dance" (0.7 rating in 18-49, 3.2 million viewers overall from 8-10 p.m. ET) grew +33% from its first half-hour to its fourth in 18-49 (0.6 to 0.8) and +13% in total viewers (2.0 million to 3.4 million). L+3: The prior week's "World of Dance" grew +25% in 18-49 rating going from L+SD to L+3 (from a 0.8 to a 1.0) and +966,000 viewers (3.3 million to 4.3 million).

"Good Girls" (0.6 rating in 18-49, 2.2 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) maintained 100% week to week in 18-49 (0.6 vs. 0.6). L+3: the prior Sunday's "Good Girls" increased by +67% in 18-49 going from L+SD to L+3 (0.6 to 1.0) and by +1.3 million viewers (2.3 million to 3.6 million).
