According to Deadline, ABC Quantico's Johanna Braddy has been tapped to lead the upcoming indie dramedy Miss Arizona, from Autumn McAlpin, Amarok Productions and Side Gig Productions.

Braddy will star as a former beauty queen who goes out on the town with four women she meets at a shelter, with the night including walking the catwalk with RUPAUL'S DRAG RACE alums Willam and Ginger Minj. The four women will be played by Dana Wheeler-Nicholson, Robyn Lively, Otmara Marrero, Shoniqua Shandai. The cast will also include Missi Pyle, Steve Guttenberg, Kyle Howard, Kevin Heffernan and Kim DeJesus.

Deadline explains that over 75% of the cast and crew for Miss Arizona are female, with producers making the decision to support women on both sides of the camera. Producer DeAnna Cooper says that, "Our goal with Miss Arizona is to celebrate diverse identities and abandon 'victim feminism' ideology. I see it as a third-wave feminist film; these women are real, and one evening of self-discovery reveals their individual strength, determination and compassion."
