PaleyFest LA to Feature a PARKS AND RECREATION Reunion

The Paley Center for Media today announced the return of the premier television festival by revealing the first three selections of PaleyFest LA 2019, which will take place March 15-24, 2019, at the iconic Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. Citi cardmembers, plus Paley Patron, Fellow, and Supporting Members will have an exclusive opportunity to purchase tickets first during a special presale from January 15-16.

The first program selections announced for this year's PaleyFest LA include: FX's history-making hit drama Pose, which features the largest cast of transgender actors in series regular roles ever, as well as the largest recurring cast of LGBTQ actors ever for a scripted series; NBC's Emmy Award-winning and critically lauded hit This Is Us, which will make its second appearance at the festival; and, as its centerpiece reunion event, the festival will reunite the full cast and creative team of the Peabody Award-winning fan-favorite Parks and Recreation in commemoration of the ten-year anniversary of its series premiere. The full schedule of programs will be announced on January 14.

"Every year PaleyFest presents the best of television, providing fans with a rare behind-the-scenes look at both the hottest new shows as well as beloved classics," said Maureen J. Reidy, the Paley Center's President and CEO. "We could not be more thrilled to announce our first three selections: two highly acclaimed dramas and a special cast reunion ten years in the making!"

"Pose holds a special place in my heart, and so does being honored at PaleyFest, which to my mind has always meant a show has broken through culturally," said Ryan Murphy, creator and executive producer of Pose. "I'm excited for my incredible cast and collaborators to gather with me in March and have a direct conversation with our audience who have been so supportive. It promises to be a special night."

"We're thrilled to be reuniting at PaleyFest. And truth be told, we were all hanging out already anyway, so carpooling will be easy," said series star Amy Poehler and co-creator & showrunner, Mike Schur.

"We had a wonderful time at PaleyFest celebrating the first season of This Is Us and we are so excited to get the opportunity to be back again honoring another remarkable season of This Is Us with our incredible fans," said Mandy Moore.

PaleyFest LA benefits the Paley Center's preservation and archival digitization efforts, and its ongoing mission to explore the significant impact of media on our culture and society. The Paley Center is home to the nation's foremost publically accessible archive of television and radio content, with over 160,000 programs spanning the history of media, including collections that feature achievements in television from the African-American, Hispanic, and LGBTQ communities, women, and most recently music.
