POKEMON THE MOVIE: GENESECT AND THE LEGEND AWAKENED Airs on Cartoon Network Today

In celebration of the recent global launch of the Pokémon X and Pokémon Y video games, fans will be given the chance to enjoy brand new Pokémon animation, including the U.S. debut of Pokémon the Movie: Genesect and the Legend Awakened today, October 19th on Cartoon Network.
Airing at 12:30 p.m. (ET, PT), the newest Pokémon feature film stars the extremely powerful Red Genesect and Mewtwo. Five Genesect have invaded the big city and threaten its power supply, attracting the attention of the Legendary Pokémon Mewtwo, whose motives are unknown. Ash, Pikachu, and friends must come to the rescue when the Genesect's powerful leader, Red Genesect, confronts Mewtwo!As a special bonus, fans can get a sneak peek at the new season of the Pokémon animation, Pokémon the Series: XY, when two episodes air on Cartoon Network right after Pokémon the Movie: Genesect and the Legend Awakened. The day begins when Cartoon Network airs an encore presentation of Pokémon the Movie: Kyurem vs. the Sword of Justice at 11:00 a.m. (ET, PT).
