Oscar Win Could Make FROZEN's Bobby Lopez Newest 'EGOT'er!

Legendary star of stage and screen Rita Moreno received a Lifetime Achievement Award at Saturday night's 20th Annual SAG Awards. The talented actress is one of only 11 entertainers who can call themselves a member of the esteemed EGOT club, reserved for those who have won all four major annual entertainment awards, Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony. Could Book of Mormon's Bobby Lopez be next in line to join the elite circle?

Lopez was recently nominated for an Academy Award for his hit song, 'Let It Go', from the animated Disney film FROZEN, now in theaters. The accomplished composer picked up a Tony Award in 2004 for best original score for Avenue Q. In addition, he has claimed two Daytime Emmy Awards (in 2008 and 2010, for outstanding achievement in music direction and composition) for The Wonder Pets. In 2011, the musical wizard garnered two Tonys (best book of a musical and best original score) as well as a Grammy Award (best musical theater album, 2012) for The Book of Mormon.

Yet over the years, a growing controversy has arose as to what constitutes a true EGOT'er. While Liza Minelli, James Earl Jones and Barbra Streisand have won all four major awards, there is a question as to whether an award which was "special or honorary in nature" should qualify. In addition, many believe that a Daytime Emmy does not hold the same distinction as a Primetime Emmy nod.
