Orlando Shakes' 29th Season Gala Invites Guests to Dream the Impossible Dream

Orlando Shakespeare Theater in Partnership with UCF (Orlando Shakes) will celebrate the opening of their 2017-2018 Season by inviting guests to help them make the impossible, possible at their 29th Season Gala: Dream the Impossible Dream on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at 5 p.m. The evening will feature tastings of Central Florida's finest food and beverages as well as a silent auction and raffle. Remaining tickets range from $150 - $250 per person and may be purchased by calling the Box Office at (407) 447-1700 ext. 1 or in person inside the John and Rita Lowndes Shakespeare Center, 812 East Rollins Street.

The Theater's annual fundraiser will kick off with an elegant food tasting stationed inside the Lowndes Shakespeare Center. Guests will enjoy music from the UCF Jazz Chamber Group featuring Jeff Rupert and a silent auction highlighting priceless experiences and exclusive packages from the area's leading businesses.

"We are thrilled to open our 29th Season with a showcase of what we do best, present one-of-a-kind entertainment that dazzles our audience and supports our community." said Dana Nichols, Director of Development at Orlando Shakes. "At this year's Man of La Mancha-inspired Gala guests will be wined and dined by Central Florida's premier restaurants while mingling with the who's who of Orlando."

The evening will continue with guests enjoying a one-night-only musical showcase performed by select members of the cast of Orlando Shakes' production of Man of La Mancha. The event will conclude with coffee, dessert, and a champagne toast.

In addition to the festivities at the Gala, patrons will be able to enter Orlando Shakes' Season Gala raffle. Participants will have the chance to win $10,000, an incredible staycation weekend at the Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort, or $1,000 cash prize. All raffle winners will be drawn during the evening's events on the Margeson stage, but winners need not be present to win. A limited number of tickets are available for a suggested donation of $100.
