Optimum TV Customers to Have Exclusive Access to Fox 5 NY App

Cablevision today announced that Optimum TV customers now have exclusive access to the FOX 5 NY app. Customers who receive FOX as part of their Optimum TV package can enjoy the broadcaster's live stream of select shows on their iOS or Android mobile device anywhere in the New York Tri-State area where WNYW is broadcast. Available programs include "Good Day New York," "Fox 5 News" at 5, 6, and 10 as well as "Wendy Williams," "Dr. Oz" and other popular FOX shows.

"Optimum TV to GO's extensive line-up provides our customers with remarkable mobility and significantly extends when and how they catch their favorite shows," said Bradley Feldman, senior Vice president of video product management for Cablevision. "And now we are offering our customers even more flexibility with the FOX 5 NY app, which is only available to Optimum TV customers."

With the FOX 5 NY app Optimum TV customers who receive FOX as part of their package can access FOX 5 Live content anywhere WNYW is broadcast. Customers can download the FOX 5 Live app from iTunes for their iPad, iPhone or iTouch or from Google Play for their Android phones and tablets, and then sign in with their Optimum ID and password to begin watching.

Optimum customers who also subscribe to Optimum Online high-speed Internet service have the additional convenience and flexibility of being able to access Optimum TV to GO services when away from home by using Optimum WiFi's tens of thousands of hotspots, which are available across Cablevision's Tri-State service area.
