Sebastian La Cause (ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK) the Broadway star and award-winning creator of HUSTLING is back, and this time he's trading in escorting for a pair of six-inch platform stilettos.

LIFE'S A DRAG premiered October 9th at the Brooklyn Web Festival to a sold-out crowd and a standing ovation, eventually walking away with the award for Outstanding Pilot.

Written by and starring Ian Verdun (Grey's Anatomy, Last Resort) The show follows Melvin Everman (Verdun) a straight-ish, down-on-his-luck actor, who in an act of desperation, inexplicably embarks on a journey that will lead him to Drag superstardom. Along the way he'll meet a host of colorful characters, some new and some old as he struts his way to glory. But before the crown is won, he'll have to go toe to toe with more than a few shady queens, and be forced to come to terms with the most damaged parts of himself, forever altering the PERCEPTION of his own identity, and testing the foundations of his relationships.

La Cause, who acts not only as director, but as cinematographer and editor as well, called the show "Fresh and innovative, a truly incredible project". And by the reaction from the audience, it looks like he might just have another hit on his hands. The pilot is already making waves, garnering a Best Director nomination for La Cause, a Best Actor nomination for Verdun, and a Best Supporting Actor nomination for Stephen Guarino.

The team is in the middle of an Indiegogo campaign to fund the rest of the season and have already raised a significant chunk of their funds, with three weeks left in their campaign.

The hilarious and heart warming LIFE'S A DRAG features an incredible cast including Ian Verdun (Grey's Anatomy, Last Resort), Santana Dempsey (The Newsroom, Megachurch Murder), Stephen Guarino (Bear City, Happy Endings, Hustling), Jessica Camacho (Last Resort, Sleepy Hollow, Minority Report), Andy Gala (New Girl, Criminal Minds), Junes Zahdi (The Mindy Project, Jane the Virgin), Ginifer King (Haunted Hathaways) and CONSTANTINE Rousouli (The Battery's Down, Los Feliz, 90027) as well as a string of as yet to be announced guest stars.
