From 8:00-10:00 p.m. opposite the season premiere of NBC's "America's Got Talent," night 4 of ABC's "500 Questions" grew sharply from night 3 on Saturday in Total Viewers (+56% - 4.2 million vs. 2.7 million) and Adults 18-49 (+200% - 0.9/3 vs. 0.3/2), equaling a season high with young adults (tying its season premiere on 5/26/16).
Head to head in its 2-hour time period, ABC's "500 Questions" dominated its unscripted competition on FOX ("Hotel Hell"/"Coupled" = 1.9 million and 0.7/2) by 2.3 million viewers and 29% in Adults 18-49. The ABC unscripted show gained 13% in Adults 18-49 from its first hour to second hour. Please Note: The 5-night event ABC quiz show will conclude tonight, Wednesday (6/1/16) from 8:00-10:00 p.m. Projections Rationale:Lifts vs. L+SD are based on 2015-16 season averages for originals (excluding the premiere).
Returning shows: Profile based on same show (either premiere or averages for originals).
New Series: Based on similar series. A note about DVR penetration: DVR penetration in the Nielsen sample is currently at 49% in U.S. TV Homes. More viewers are watching shows on their own timetables, which are increasingly not reflected in the overnight Live + Same Day numbers. As a result, the Live + 7 Day ratings are the most accurate Nielsen measure to gauge the size of the TV audience.
