New Series HOLLYWOOD GAME NIGHT is Ratings Hit for NBC

From 10-11 p.m. ET, the debut of "Hollywood Game Night" (1.3/4 in 18-49 4.1 million viewers overall) ranked #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC in the time period in adults 18-49 and all other key demos - adults, men and women 18-34; men and women 18-49; and adults, men and women 25-54.

"Hollywood Game Night" equaled last week's "Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular" 10 p.m. ET encore for NBC's top 18-49 rating in The Hour since April 18. In total viewers, excluding the "Macy's" special, it's the biggest overall audience for NBC in the slot since April 11.

"Hollywood Game Night" grew from its first half-hour to its second in adults 18-49 by 17% (to a 1.4 rating from a 1.2), despite the 10 p.m. hour, and was also up half-hour to half-hour in every other key category.

In the 10:30 lead-in to local news, "Hollywood Game Night" delivered a 21% margin of victory in the key news demo of adults 25-54 (with a 1.7 rating vs. a 1.4 for ABC's second-place "Rookie Blue"). "HGN" led the 10:30 half-hour in all other key demos.

At 9 p.m. ET, "The Winner Is..." (1.0/3 in 18-49, 3.9 million viewers overall) delivered NBC's top 18-49 and total-viewer results in the time period, excluding last week's "Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular," since May 16. "The Winner Is..." built on its lead-in by 25% in 18-49.

From its first half-hour to its second, "The Winner Is..." grew by 11% in 18-49 rating (to a 1.0 from a 0.9) and by 14% in total viewers (4.2 million vs. 3.7 million).

From 8-9 p.m. ET, an encore telecasts of "The Winner Is..." (0.8/3 in 18-49, 3.4 million viewers overall) grew from its first half-hour to its second by 14% in 18-49 rating (to a 0.8 from a 0.7) and 9% in total viewers (3.6 million vs. 3.3 million).

NBC's Thursday lineup grew in 18-49 rating during every half-hour of primetime, with this track: : 0.7, 0.8, 0.9, 1.0, 1.2, 1.4.


In Late-Night Metered Markets Thursday night:

In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 2.3/6; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.2/6; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.9/5.

In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.7/3; "Late Show," 0.5/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.7/3.

From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.2/4 in metered-market households) tied CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.2/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/2 in 18-49) tied "Late Late Show" (0.4/2).

At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
