Netflix Announces New International Projects

According to Deadline, Netflix is setting its new projects, including a new series about the invention of modern football (soccer) by Julian Fellowes, the creator of Downton Abbey.

Another new project will be German series The Wave, based on the 2008 film Die Welle. It centers on a high school teacher's experiment to demonstrate life under a dictatorship.

In France, Netflix will release Mortal, creator by Frederic Garcia, which is the story of teenagers bound together by supernatural force. In Italy, Netflix will team up with Fandango to release Luna Nera, about women suspected of witchcraft.

Another French original series, Osmosis, will have its first two episodes directed by Thomas Vincent.
