National Board of Review Names ZERO DARK THIRTY Best Film of Season

The National Board of Review has deemed Kathryn Bigelow's ZERO DARK THIRTY the best film of the season. The award comes only three days after the film took the top honors in the  New York Film Critics Circle awards.

ZERO DARK THIRTY is coming to theaters Dec. 19. The action thriller is the story of history's greatest manhunt for the world's most dangerous man - following the special operations forces mission to capture or kill Osama bin Laden. 

Directed and co-produced by Kathryn Bigelow with a screenplay by Mark Boal, both associated with The Hurt Locker, the film stars Oscar nominee Jessica Chastain, now making her Broadway debut in The Heiress, Chris Pratt, James Gandolfini, Joel Edgerton, EdgaR Ramirez, and Mark Strong.

The National Board of Review will distribute their awards on Jan. 8 in New York City. TV personality Meredith Vieira is set to host. Below are the winners in each category, listed in alphabetical order:
