NBC's THE VOICE Delivers Monday Night's #1 Rating in Key Demo

"The Voice" and "The Blacklist" delivered the night's #1 and #2 ratings in 18-49 on the Big 4 networks. NBC is #1 for the night among ABC, CBS, NBC & FOX in all key categories for a fifth week in a row, pending updates, winning six of six half-hours in 18-49 among those nets, also for a fifth week in a row. NBC is winning the night among the Big 4 by a 73% margin in 18-49 (with a 3.8 rating vs. a 2.2 for #2 CBS).
From 8-10:01 p.m. ET, "The Voice" (4.2 rating, 11 share in adults 18-49, 13.4 million viewers overall) is currently winning the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in every key ratings category, pending updates. "The Voice" is currently #1 for the night on those networks in 18-49, total viewers and other key categories. "The Voice" is running within 7% of last week's 4.5 in 18-49 and is within 3% of last week's 13.781 million in total viewers. "The Voice" (4.2/11) grew steadily and significantly throughout its two-hour time period, with this track in 18-49: 3.7, 4.0, 4.2, 4.8. From its first half-hour to its fourth, "The Voice" increased by 30% or 1.1 rating points in 18-49 rating (to a 4.8 from a 3.7) and by 19% or 2.3 million persons in total viewers (14.8 million vs. 12.5 million). From 10:01-11 p.m. ET, "The Blacklist" (3.0/8 in adults 18-49, 10.6 million viewers overall) is #1 in The Hour among ABC, CBS and NBC in every key demographic, with an adult 18-49 margin of 58% Versus ABC's #2 "Castle" (3.0 vs. 1.9).In Late-Night Metered Markets Monday night: In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 3.1/8; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 1.9/5; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.2/6. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.9/4; "Late Show," 0.5/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.7/3. From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.4/5 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters. From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.5/6 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.1/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.6/4 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2). At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.9/4 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.4/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

NBC is #1 for week 4 of the 2013-14 season in adults 18-49 and has won the opening four weeks of the season for a second year in a row. NBC's 3.0 rating for the week is up 15% Versus its 2.6 for the same week last year (and up 43% Versus NBC's 2.1 for week four two years ago). The 3.0 is NBC's highest week four rating in six years (since a 3.1 in 2007). The 9.4 million is NBC's biggest week-four audience in seven years (since 10.3 million in 2006). Through four weeks of the new season, NBC is up 3% vs. one year ago in 18-49 (3.2 vs. 3.1) to its highest four-week average in six years (since 2007, 3.5). NBC is leading the season by 0.6 of a point (3.2 vs. CBS's 2.6), the biggest margin in 11 years for any net four weeks into the season (since NBC led by 0.8 of a point in 2002). On a percentage basis, NBC's 23% margin is the biggest lead for any net at four weeks in 12 years (since NBC led by +27% in 2001). NBC is also leading the season among ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in all other key demographics. In total viewers, NBC finished week 4 in second place, and is also #2 for the season, its highest total-viewer ranking four weeks into the season in 11 years (since 2002). NBC's season average of 9.9 million viewers is its biggest overall audience four weeks into the season in seven years (since 2006, 10.3 million). Versus one year ago, NBC is up 17% season to date in total viewers (9.9 million vs. 8.4 million). For the week, NBC delivered three of the top five Primetime telecasts on ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in adults 18-49: "Sunday Night Football" (#1), Monday's "The Voice" (#3) and Tuesday's "Voice" (#5). Rankings exclude sports pre- and post-game shows. Also ranking the top 25 Primetime programs on the Big 4 were "The Blacklist" (#11), "The Biggest Loser" (tied for #22) and "Chicago Fire" (tied for #22). "Sunday Night Football" was also #1 among Primetime telecasts on the Big 4 in adults, men and women 18-34; men and women 18-49; adults and men 25-54; and teens 12-17, while "The Voice" accounted for the top entertainment telecast on ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in teens 12-17, women 18-49 (tie) and women 18-34. . NBC won the week among ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in all key demographic categories - adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54.
