NBC's THE BLACKLIST is #1 Drama of Monday Night

NBC won Monday among the Big 4 by a +27% margin in adults 18-49 (3.3 vs. 2.6 for #2 CBS), up from last week's +20% margin (3.6 vs. 3.0) and a +6% win two weeks ago (3.7 vs. 3.5).

"The Voice" (3.6/10 in 18-49, 12.3 million viewers overall from 8-10 p.m. ET) won its highly competitive two-hour time period among the Big 4 in adults 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus all key adult-female demos. "The Voice" was up +16% last night versus what the show was averaging at the end of last season through the May sweep in 18-49 (3.6 vs. 3.1) and up +8% in total viewers (12.282 million vs. 11.351 million).

Through its first three weeks this fall, "The Voice" has delivered the show's three highest Monday 18-49 ratings since March 24, as well as the show's three biggest Monday overall audiences since that same date.

From its first half-hour to its fourth, last night's "Voice" grew by +25% in adult 18-49 rating (to a 4.0 from a 3.2) and increased by 2.0 million persons or +18% in total viewers (13.1 million vs. 11.1 million).

Note that last night's 8-9 p.m. ET competition was up by 54% on CBS and 19% on FOX versus the same night last year, with CBS growing thanks to "The Big Bang Theory" (3.7 vs. the year-ago 2.4) and FOX up with "Gotham" (2.5 vs. the year-ago 2.1).


"The Blacklist" (2.7/8 in 18-49, 10.1 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) ranked as the #1 drama of the night in adults 18-49 on a highly competitive night that includes "Gotham," "Scorpion," "Sleepy Hollow," "Castle" and "NCIS: LA."

"The Blacklist" won its hour among ABC, CBS and NBC in all key measures, topping ABC's "Castle" in adults 18-49 by +42% (2.7 vs. 1.9) and CBS's "NCIS: LA" by +69% (2.7 vs. 1.6).

L+3: Note that last week's "Blacklist" grew by +54% in "live plus three day" ratings versus these next-day "live plus same day ratings" in 18-49 (to a 4.29 from a 2.78), up from +44% growth the prior week, and increased by 4.7 million viewers overall (to 15.2 million from 10.5 million) going from L+SD to L+3.

In Late-Night Metered Markets Monday night:

In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 3.1/8; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.1/5; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.9/5.

In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.0/5; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/3.

From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.5/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.1/4 with an encore). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2 with an encore).

At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.9/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
