NBC Sports continues its presentation of SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL this weekend as Kirk Cousins and the Washington Redskins (1-1) host Derek Carr and the Oakland Raiders (2-0) at FedEx Field in Landover, Md., in what will be just the second primetime game between the two storied franchises since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger (10/19/70). Coverage begins with FOOTBALL NIGHT IN AMERICA this Sunday, September 24, at 7 p.m. ET on NBC.

Both teams enter Week 3 coming off wins this past Sunday. Cousins led Washington to a 27-20 victory over the Los Angeles Rams with an 11-yard, go-ahead touchdown pass to RB Ryan Grant with one minute and 49 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter. Carr powered Oakland to a 45-20 win over the New York Jets, completing 23-of-28 passes for 230 yards and three touchdowns - all three to WR Michael Crabtree.

Oakland and Washington last faced off during the regular season in 2013, a Week 4 CONTEST in which the Redskins defeated the Raiders 24-14 at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum. The Raiders lead the series overall, 8-5, and defeated the Redskins 38-9 in SUPER BOWL XVIII.

Calling Raiders-Redskins' are seven-time Emmy Award-winner Al Michaels (play-by-play), in his record 32nd season as THE VOICE of the NFL's premier primetime package; 16-time Emmy Award-winner Cris Collinsworth; and two-time Emmy Award-winning sideline reporter Michele Tafoya.

NBC's coverage of SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL is led by Emmy Award-winning producer Fred Gaudelli and Emmy Award-winning director Drew Esocoff.

Football Night in America, the most-watched studio show in sports, is hosted by Mike Tirico, who will report on-site from FedEx Field, and Dan Patrick, who will host from Studio 1 at NBC Sports Group's International Broadcast Center in Stamford, Conn. Patrick is joined by Super Bowl-winning head coach Tony Dungy, two-time SUPER BOWL winner Rodney Harrison, and Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com and PFT Live on NBCSN and NBC Sports Radio. Paul Burmeister will report from Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tenn., on the Seahawks-Titans game.
