NBC's SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL Presents Dolphins vs Raiders, 11/5

NBC's SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL marks the renewal of one of the NFL's most storied rivalries, as Derek Carr and the Oakland Raiders travel to Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla., to face Jay Cutler and the Miami Dolphins (4-3) in the first-ever NBC SNF CONTEST between the two franchises. Coverage begins with FOOTBALL NIGHT IN AMERICA this Sunday, November 5, at 7 p.m. ET, on NBC.

Oakland and Miami will meet for the 38th time since 1966, as the Raiders hold a slight edge in the all-time series, 19-17-1. The two franchises have produced several marquee moments in NFL history, including the famous "Sea of Hands" game. In the final minute of the 1974 AFC Divisional playoff, Hall of Fame quarterback Ken Stabler connected with running back Clarence Davis in a CROWDED end zone for an eight-yard touchdown pass to GIVE Oakland a 28-26 victory, thwarting a third consecutive SUPER BOWL berth for Miami. The Dolphins and Raiders last met in primetime on Dec. 14, 1992, a game Miami won 20-7.

The Raiders look to rebound from a 34-14 loss to the Buffalo Bills (5-2) on Sunday at New Era Field. In his three-plus seasons, Carr has thrown for three or more touchdowns in 14 games, tied for third-most all-time by a quarterback in his first 54 games. Running back Marshawn Lynch returns to the field on Sunday following a one-game suspension.

Since Week 6 of last year, Miami is tied with Dallas and Pittsburgh for the third-best record in the NFL (13-5), behind only New England and Kansas City. Cutler returns to action after missing Thursday's game with a rib injury. WR Jarvis Landry, who ranks second in the NFL in receptions (50), has recorded the most catches from the slot receiver position since entering the league in 2014, according to Pro Football Focus. Sunday's game marks the first NBC SNF game in South Florida since Sept. 26, 2010, when the Dolphins hosted the New York Jets.

Calling Raiders-Dolphins are seven-time Emmy Award-winner Al Michaels (play-by-play), in his record 32nd season as THE VOICE of the NFL's premier primetime package; 16-time Emmy Award-winner Cris Collinsworth; and two-time Emmy Award-winning sideline reporter Michele Tafoya.

NBC's coverage of SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL is led by Emmy Award-winning producer Fred Gaudelli and Emmy Award-winning director Drew Esocoff.

Football Night in America, the most-watched studio show in sports, is hosted by Mike Tirico, who will report on-site from Hard Rock Stadium, and Dan Patrick, who will host from Studio 1 at NBC Sports Group's International Broadcast Center in Stamford, Conn. Patrick is joined by Super Bowl-winning head coach Tony Dungy, two-time SUPER BOWL winner Rodney Harrison, and Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com and PFT Live on NBCSN and NBC Sports Radio. Paul Burmeister will report from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on the Chiefs-Cowboys game.
