NBC's NINJA WARRIOR Tops Timeslot on Tuesday

"American Ninja Warrior" (1.8/5 in adults 18-49, 5.4 million viewers overall from 9-11 p.m. ET) topped "Under the Dome" to win "Ninja's" second hour from 10-11 p.m. among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49 (with a 1.9 rating that hour for "Ninja" vs. a 1.7 for "Dome" and a 0.9 for ABC's "Mistresses"). "Ninja" also won the two-hour 9-11 p.m. time period among the Big 4 in adults, men and women 18-49 and adults, men and women 18-34.
With its first original telecast since June 23, "American Ninja Warrior" achieved its top 18-49 rating since June 2 (1.9) and delivered a season high for a regular telecast in total viewers (highest since a special "USA vs. Japan" telecast on Jan. 13 averaged 5.537 million). Versus its prior original telecast on June 23, "American Ninja Warrior" grew by +6% in 18-49 (with a 1.8 rating vs. a 1.7) and was up +4% in total viewers (5.357 million vs. 5.151 million). "American Ninja Warrior" grew last night with each succeeding half-hour in adults 18-49, with this track: 1.6, 1.7, 1.8, 1.9. From its first half-hour to its fourth, "Ninja" increased by +19% in 18-49 rating (to a 1.9 from a 1.6) and +9% in total viewers (5.6 million vs. 5.2 million). An encore telecast of "Last Comic Standing" (1.0/3 in 18-49, 4.0 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) grew by +15% versus its previous encore in this slot on June 23 in total viewers (4.0 million vs. 3.5 million).In Late-Night Metered Markets Monday Night: In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.6/7; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.1/5; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.6/4 with an encore. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.0/4; "Late Show," 0.4/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/2 with an encore. From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 0.9/3 in metered-market households and a 0.2/1 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters. From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.2/4 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.0/3). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/1). At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
