NBC's AMERICA'S GOT TALENT Ties for #1 Rating of the Night

From 9-10:01 p.m. ET, the season's first results show of "America's Got Talent" (2.3/7 in 18-49, 10.3 million viewers overall) equaled last year's first results show in 18-49 rating (2.3/8 from 9-10 p.m. on Tuesday, July 3, 2012) and is up versus the year-ago telecast by 11% in total viewers (10.315 million vs. 9.323 million).

Versus the same Wednesday last year, "Talent" is up 5% in 18-49 rating (to a 2.3 from a 2.2 from 9-10 on July 25, 2012) and up 18% in total viewers (10.315 million vs. 8.763 million).

"America's Got Talent" tied for the #1 rating of the night on ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in adults 18-49 and is #1 for the night on those networks in total viewers. From its first half-hour to its second, "Talent" grew by 9% in adults 18-49 (to a 2.4 rating from a 2.2) and led the 9:30-10 p.m. half-hour outright. "Talent" grew from its first half-hour to its second in every key ratings category.

At 10:01 p.m. ET, "Camp" (1.1/3 in adults 18-49, 4.2 million viewers overall) is tied for #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC in 18-49 and ranks #1 outright among those nets in adults 18-34 and all key adult-male demos versus ABC's original "The Lookout" and CBS's encore "CSI."

In its first three weeks, "Camp" has earned NBC's top three 18-49 and total-viewer results in the slot, excluding Stanley Cup Hockey coverage, since May 22.

From 8-9 p.m. ET, a recap edition of "America's Got Talent" (1.6/5 in 18-49, 6.6 million viewers overall) ranked #2 in the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in adults 18-49 and is #1 in total viewers.


In Late-Night Metered Markets Wednesday night:

In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 2.4/6; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.3/6; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.6/4 with an encore.

In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.8/4; "Late Show," 0.5/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/3 with an encore.

From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.3/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.1/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).

At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
