NBC's AMERCA NINJA WARRIOR Ties for #1 Show

NBC tied for #1 for the night among the Big 4 in 18-49, as "American Ninja Warrior" tied for the #1 show of the night on those nets. Despite last week's preemption and this week's Labor Day holiday, "Ninja" was up +6% vs. its prior telecast.

"American Ninja Warrior" (1.9/6 in 18-49, 5.8 million viewers overall from 9-11 p.m. ET) won its time-period among the Big 4 in every key measure - adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers. The 1.9 rating in adults 18-49 tied for the #1 rating of the night on the Big 4 with Fox's "MasterChef" (1.9 from 8-9 p.m.).

"American Ninja Warrior" was up versus its prior telecast of two weeks ago by +6% in adults 18-49 (to a 1.9 rating from a 1.8), to hit its top 18-49 score since Aug. 4 (2.0) In total viewers, it was the show's biggest overall audience since July 21 (5.817 million) and second-biggest of the season to date.

For its second hour from 10-11 p.m., "American Ninja Warrior" matched the ABC-CBS original competition combined in 18-49 (with a 2.0 rating that hour vs. a 1.2 for CBS's "Under the Dome" and a 0.8 for ABC's "Mistresses").

"Running Wild with Bear Grylls" (0.9/3 in 18-49, 3.9 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) is currently up versus its prior telecast in total viewers (3.894 million vs. 3.797 million on Aug. 18), pending updates, despite last week's preemption and this week's Labor Day holiday.

For the night, NBC tied for #1 among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 and was #1 outright among those networks in adults 18-34 and all key adult-male demos.


In Late-Night Metered Markets Monday Night:

In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.0/5 with an encore telecast; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 1.6/4 with an encore; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.6/4 with an encore.

In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.7/4 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.3/1 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/2 with an encore.

From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 0.9/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (0.8/3 in metered-market households with an encore) tied CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (0.8/3 with an encore). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.3/2 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/2 with an encore).

At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.5/2 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
