NBC Sports Digital and The Kicker Renew DRAFTSVILLE for Second Season

NBC Sports Digital and Above Average's sports brand The Kicker, owned by Broadway Video, today announced the short-form original digital video series Draftsville will return for a second season ahead of NFL Kickoff 2018. The first two episodes will debut this Thursday, Aug. 30, on NBCSports.com, NBC Sports' YouTube channel and Facebook Watch, as well as various social handles. Watch a preview for season two below!

Season 2 of Draftsville reimagines the penultimate season of NBC's hit drama series Friday Night Lights, as Ryan Farrell reprises his role as head coach Larry Stanton, who leads a fantasy football team in a town where fantasy football is king. The four-episode parody series will include guests appearances by current Saturday Night Live cast member Chris Redd and actor Zach Gilford, best known for his role as Matt Saracen in Friday Night Lights, and will once again feature former SNL cast member Darrell Hammond as Denny Gaines.

The series incorporates NBC Sports Digital's Rotoworld, the industry-leading source for fantasy football news and information, as Coach Stanton utilizes its resources to obsessively craft his team in a fantasy football-crazed town. The final two episodes will premiere Thursday, Sept. 6, marking the beginning of the NFL regular season.

The first installment of Draftsville premiered last September ahead of NFL Kickoff 2017. All three episodes from Season 1 are available on NBCSports.com/Draftsville and YouTube.

Draftsville is produced for NBC Sports Group by The Kicker, with shareable content running across NBC Sports Digital's assets. The series is the continuation of a short-form digital video series partnership between NBC Sports Digital and The Kicker, with previous projects including The Pits, a NASCAR series sponsored by SONIC Drive-In, and Sports...The Musical, created for NBC Sports Digital in 2016.
