The new female-centered workplace comedy will follow a woman who settles on Fire Island in search of her father and ends up finding a new family and a new home. Deadline writes that the show is "in the vein of Cheers".

Fey's Little Stranger company will be producing its first project for Universal Television.

Fey's writing credits include 30 Rock (which she also created and produced), SNL and Mean Girls. She will next be seen on the big screen in Anchorman: The Legend Continues, Muppets Most Wanted and This Is Where I Leave You.

In addition to 30 Rock, McGuinness has also produced the TV series Love Bites and has written for Mercy, North Shore, the short film For Mature Audiences Only and more.
