NBC News Wins Five Murrow Awards

NBC News and MSNBC have been honored with five national 2010 Edward R. Murrow awards, more than any other network. The national and local winners were announced today by The Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) and will be presented at the RTDNA awards dinner New York on October 11, 2010. The Murrow awards honor excellence in electronic journalism.
For the second consecutive year, NBC News was honored with the esteemed Murrow award for Overall Excellence in the network news category. Keith Olbermann's tribute to his mother 'A Baseball Fan Named Marie,' which aired two days after her death, won for Writing.
