NBC Grabs THE MYSTERIES OF LAURA Detective Series

Deadline.com reports that NBC has picked up the detective drama THE MYSTERIES OF LAURA, written by Jeff Rake and produced by Berlanti Productions and Kapital Entertainment.

Based on the Spanish series Los Misterios De Laura, the show centers on a female homicide detective and mother of twins. The Spanish version was created by Carlos Vila and Javier Holgado for Boomerang TV and will begin its third season on TVE1 Spain.

Rake has produced Beauty and the Beast, Hawthorne, Cashmere Mafia, Bones, Boston Legal, Miss Match and The $treet for TV, with writing credits for the former shows, plus Franklin & Bash, Head Cases, North Shore, The Practice and more.

Greg Berlanti is also producing and co-creating The CW's Arrow spin-off The Flash this season, as well as a sci-fi prison drama for NBC by Seth Grahame-Smith. Berlanti's next big screen project as producer is Green Lantern 2. He has also produced the TV series Arrow, Golden Boy, Political Animals, Brothers & Sisters, No Ordinary Family, Eli Stone, Dirty Sexy Money, Everwood and Dawson's Creek.
