NBC Developing Tornado Drama AMERICAN DISASTER

NBC is in the process of developing tornado drama AMERICAN DISASTER, as reported by Deadline. CSI: MIAMI and THE FOLLOWING's Michael McGrale will serve as writer, while Deran Sarafian (HOUSE, THE STRAIN, HELL ON WHEELS) will direct.

AMERICAN DISASTER will follow a midwestern town that is faced with a deadly tornado and forced to hold itself together. The project was pitched as a potential anthology series, with different natural disasters taking place each season.

McGrale and Serafin will co-executive produce, alongside, alongside Michael Prupas and Joel Rice from Muse Entertainment. Lydia Storie and Meghan Mathes from Muse are developing the project as well as serving as co-producers.

Muse Entertainment has produced many limited series, including TUT for Spike, THE KENNEDYS and its sequel AFTER CAMELOT for REELZ Channel. Their upcoming series, BELLEVUE, with Anna Paquin will debut on WGN in the new year.
