NBC Bay Area Names Sara Bueno Director of Integrated Media

NBC Bay Area announced today that Sara Bueno will be joining the station as Director of Integrated Media effective October 24, 2012. Bueno will be responsible for executing the editorial vision for NBCBayArea.com, as well as the stations mobile apps and social media platforms.

Bueno joins NBC Bay Area from KGO in San Francisco where she spent the past several years leading the editorial direction of the stations website and digital platforms.

“Sara joins our digital team with a wealth of experience having worked in this market for more than 12 years,” said Jonathan Mitchell, Vice President of News. “I am confident that she will continue our commitment of providing the Bay Area with the go-to source for continuous, in-depth coverage of local news.”

Prior to her most recent position at KGO Bueno served there as an Assignment Editor and Web Producer. She also worked for Yahoo’s “FinanceVision,” a live financial news and interactive webcast.

Bueno’s work in digital media has earned her an Emmy for Outstanding Achievement in Interactivity and an APTRA Mark Twain for Best Blog.
