Murphy, Harris, et al. Top TV Guide's Power List; Full List Published 6/17

TV Guide Magazine has created a 'Power List' of television's twenty-five most influential people.  Although the entire list has yet to be revealed, cbsnews.com reports that the list includes 'Glee' creator Ryan Murphy and Neil Patrick Harris, Broadway actor and star of 'How I Met Your Mother.' 

Ryan Murphy created the hit FX drama series 'Nip/Tuck,' which deals with plastic surgery.  He also created 'Popular,' a teen comedy cult series.  Murphy's latest hit is 'Glee,' which airs on Fox; this musical comedy series deals with a spirited high school glee club and has featured many Broadway actors, both as regulars (Matthew Morrison, Lea Michele) and guest stars (Kristin Chenoweth, Idina Menzel).  The show recently completed its first season.

Neil Patrick Harris is one of the stars of the CBS sitcom 'How I Met Your Mother,' playing the womanizing Barney Stinson.  He also starred in Joss Whedon's musical web series 'Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog.'  Harris's stage credits include PROOF, CABARET, and ASSASSINS on Broadway, as well as TICK, TICK...BOOM!, ALL MY SONS, and AMADEUS. 

Murphy and Harris are joined on the list by a varied group, including Oprah Winfrey, Ryan Seacrest, Tina Fey, Seth MacFarlane, Jon Stewart, Shonda Rimes, Simon Cowell, Jerry Bruckheimer, and Sarah Palin.  The full list will be published in the June 17 issue of TV Guide magazine.
