Michelle Obama to Appear on THE DR. OZ SHOW, 1/28
Michelle Obama, whose advocacy for fitness and nutrition have been a cornerstone of her work as First Lady, will appear on the nationally Syndicated The Dr. Oz Show on the third anniversary of her monumental "Let's Move!" campaign. Joined by Secretary of Education Arne Duncan, the First Lady will discuss how physical activity affects children's health and academic achievement. The episode will air Thursday, February 28, to coincide with a major announcement about bringing physical activity back to schools, to be made by Mrs. Obama and Secretary Duncan.

Dr. Oz is vice-chair of the Department of Surgery and Professor of Surgery at Columbia University. He directs the Cardiovascular Institute and Complementary Medicine Program at New York Presbyterian Hospital and performs 100 heart operations annually. His research interests include heart replacement surgery, minimally invasive cardiac surgery, complementary medicine and health care policy. He has authored over 400 original publications, book chapters, and medical books and has received several patents.
