Method Man Recalls Bombing His Audition For Jodie Foster On JENNIFER HUDSON SHOW
The rapper and actor looked back on a nerve-wracking meeting that did not go as planned.
Method Man revisited a memorable career misstep during a stop on THE JENNIFER HUDSON SHOW, describing how he felt he bombed an audition for Jodie Foster. The conversation with host Jennifer Hudson centered on that specific moment, giving the studio audience a candid, self-deprecating account of an experience that clearly still stands out to him.
Rather than walking through a broader career retrospective, the segment stayed focused on the audition itself, with Method Man detailing what went wrong and how he handled the encounter with Foster. His willingness to recount the moment in detail gave the appearance an unfiltered, storytelling quality typical of candid late-night sit-downs.
The appearance leaned into humor and hindsight rather than promotion, with Method Man reflecting on the experience as a story worth telling now rather than something he was still working through. Hudson steered the conversation toward pulling out the specifics of the missed opportunity, letting him narrate the moment in his own words.
