According to TVGuide.com, 'Extra' co-host and former DANCING WITH THE STARS contestant Mario Lopez has turned down the opportunity to pariticipate in the upcoming 'All-Stars' Edition of the ABC dancing competition.

While co-hosting ABC's 'Live! With Kelly' in April, the 'Extra' host revealed that he had been approached by the network to return for the special edition of the show. Lopez was later reprimanded by ABC for speaking about casting before any official announcement was made.

Lopez recently commented, "I'm really busy, so I don't think I'll be able to do it. I don't watch the show and didn't even watch when I was on it. My mom wanted me to do it."

The TV host and actor has appeared on several television series, in films, and on Broadway in the recent revival of 'A Chorus Line'. He is best known for his portrayal of the character A.C. Slater on Saved By The Bell, which he also portrayed as a regular on Saved by the Bell: The College Years. He currently hosts America's Best Dance Crew for MTV.
