According to Deadline, Malin Akerman has signed on to join the cast of Billions, an upcoming Wall Street drama written and produced by Brian Koppelman and David Levien (Ocean's Thirteen, RUNAWAY Jury, Runner Runner) and writer Andrew Ross Sorkin (Too Big to Fail).

Akerman is the most recent addition to the Billions cast, which includes the previously announced Paul Giamatti (Sideways), Damian Lewis (Homeland), Maggie Siff (Sons of Anarchy) and Tony nominee Melissa Errico.

Billions is a fictional drama that focuses on the collision and, at times, collusion between an aggressive U.S. attorney (Giamatti) in New York and some of the richest hedge fund billionaires in the country (Lewis).

The series will air in 2015 on cable network Showtime.

Akerman's feature films credits include The Heartbreak Kid, 27 Dresses, Watchmen, The Proposal and Couples Retreat. In 2010, she joined the cast of the comedy series Childrens Hospital. She recently appeared in 2012's musical film Rock of Ages. Her other recent films include CBGB and Inferno: A Linda Lovelace Story, in which she has the title role.

Akerman was last seen in ABC's short-lived, much-loved comedy TROPHY WIFE, opposite Bradley Whitford and Marcia Gay Harden.
