It seems like Malia Obama's interest lie in the world of television. According to The Wrap, Malia spent a day working on the set of Halle Berry's new CBS sci-fi thriller Extant, produced by Steven Spielberg. She filled the shoes of TV production assistant.

An insider said, "She helped with computer shop alignments and the director also let her slate a take."

Maila, who turns 16 in a few days, had a great time and was very excited. She commented, "My first time. This is a big deal."

Academy Award winner Halle Berry will star in extant, a serialized drama from Steven Spielberg's Amblin Television and CBS Television Studios. The series premieres Wednesday, July 9 on the CBS Television Network.

In a thrilling drama, Berry will play an astronaut who returns home from a year-long solo mission in space and tries to reconnect with her husband and son in their everyday life. Her experiences in space and home lead to events that ultimately will change the course of human history.
