MTV today announced that it will debut a new, weekly LIVE late night comedy series, "Nikki & Sara LIVE," on Tuesday, January 29 at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT. Set in front of a live studio audience, critically acclaimed comedians Nikki Glaser and Sara Schaefer will host the weekly half-hour comedy show from MTV's iconic Times Square Studio. Based on their successful podcast "You Had to Be There," "Nikki & Sara LIVE" will feature their signature wit, fast-paced humor, celebrity interviews, and man on the street pieces that highlight their comedic take on the latest stories and trends in pop culture, entertainment, music and more.

"None of this seems real yet to me; my dream of being on MTV died the day I turned 25 and was no longer eligible for "The Real World," says Nikki Glaser. "My dream of being a late night host died the day I was born a woman. It is nice to beat the odds."

"We want the show to feel like a party with your friends. But with 97% less barfing and 100% more Channing Tatum," says Sara Schaefer.

"Our audience really responds to fun, clever voices that bring something new to the pop culture conversation," said Susanne Daniels, President of Programming, MTV. "Each week, Nikki and Sara's irreverent take on what's happening in the world of entertainment will be a refreshing live alternative in late night television and an exciting addition to MTV's line-up."

Nikki Glaser first gained notoriety during season four of Last Comic Standing when she advanced to the semifinals while still attending college. Since then, Nikki has performed stand up on Conan and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. She can be seen performing regularly at The Comedy Cellar in New York and other venues around the country.
