MTV today announced air dates for its 2016 lineup of annual culture-bombing, tastemaking, and occasionally nipple-bearing award shows, including:

2016 "MTV Woodie Awards" - Wednesday, March 16

The "MTV Woodie Awards" will be back at SXSW to break some of the most eclectic, on the verge new artists in music.

2016 "MTV Movie Awards" - Sunday, April 10

The "MTV Movie Awards" will again celebrate and skewer Hollywood's hottest, provide exclusive first-looks at 2016's biggest blockbusters, and honor fan-favorite films of the past year.

2016 "MTV Video Music Awards" - Sunday, August 28

The "MTV Video Music Awards" will defend its crown as music's most electric and unpredictable evening. From dramatic performances to presidential campaigns, fans can only wonder what 2016 will bring.

The 2016 "MTV Fandom Awards" and "MTV EMAs" date will be announced at a later time.
